7 Ways to Make Money on eBay

Here is a list that I have come up with of seven different ways that you can make money on eBay…

  • Sell Your Stuff–Sell what's in your closet, under your bed, etc.
  • Sell Your Parent's Stuff–Help your parents clean out the garage, the attic, and the basement by selling anything valuable (but ask their permission first)
  • Sell Your Friend's Stuff–Start asking your friends and their families if they have anything they would like to sell on eBay, but they just don't have the time. Sell their stuff for them and work out a profit split.
  • Volunteer–Okay, so you may not make much money this way, but it's for a good cause. eBay lets you donate a portion or the entirety of your profits to any national charity of your choice.
  • Sell through an eBay Store–Open an eBay store for your eBay business
  • Dropshipping–With Dropshipping, you don't have to store product in your house. You list an item and when some one buys it, you buy the item from the dropshipper and they ship the item to your customer. Look up "Dropshipping" on Google or Yahoo and a list a major dropshippers should come up.
  • Wholesale–Buy items wholesale from eBay or from Dropshippers and then you won't have to list a bunch of different items. You can just list the same items over and over again.

I will go into more detail with all of these over the next few weeks…so Stay Tuned!

New Product Coming Soon!!!

Hey Everybody!

It's been a long summer, and mine is still lingering. I am down at the beach and my eBay business is still running on autopilot.

What have you done this summer? I've been busy! I started writing a book, I got 7 hours of college credit, I visited several colleges, I started filling out college applications, and I even managed to get a tan. On top of my very busy summer schedule, I have nearly finished my first eBay training product, which is designed specifically for teens.

I hope that those of you who have signed up for my free eCourse have started making money. If not, GET ON IT!! School is starting soon, and you don't want to go back broke!

So, keep a watch out for info on my new product. Meanwhile, I'll be relaxing by the pool at my waterfront condos in Florida, taking a vacation from my summer vacation :)

To your youthful, back-to-school success,

Ebay Secrets from Australia

Recently, I went to a business seminar in Atlanta. While there I met two terrific entrepreneurs from Australia, Tom Hua and Brett McFall (pictured with me below).

blog

It just so happened that they were speakers at the conference (Armand Morin's Big Seminar). I was amazed by both of them, but especially Brett. I got the chance to talk to him several times and I even got to sit with him at lunch. His lifestyle was inspiring. To learn more about Brett McFall, CLICK HERE.

In 2006, Brett did an interview with a couple from Australia who made over $65,000 on eBay in just 30 days. I have listened to the interview and it is amazing to hear what this couple has to say. Give it a listen! Click Here and scroll to the bottom of the page to download your FREE copy.

It doesn't have to be overwhelming…

Do you feel overwhelmed by the whole eBay thing?

Do you keep thinking that you can't do it all alone?

Good News…you don't have to!

You can have a partner in your eBay business. Your partner can be your friend, sibling, parent, classmate, teammate…whoever!

With a partner, you don't have to do all of the work. One of you can be in charge of listing items and sending invoices, the other can be in charge of shipping and pictures. The possibilities are endless.

Yes, you will have to split the profits, but with two people, you can get twice as much done, meaning MORE profits.

Give it a shot. You have no excuses.

To your youthful success,

Dulce

Wow…What a weekend!

I just spent this past weekend with some of the most brilliant minds in business today. I had the pleasure of meeting Gene Simmons (guy from KISS that has the massive tongue–can also be seen on his A&E TV show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels), Nido Qubein (motivational speaker and president of High Point University), Derek Gehl (CEO of Internet Marketing Center), and George Ross ( Donald Trump's right-hand man).

It was an exciting weekend full of creativity, networking, and fun at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It is always a privilege to meet with like-minded people.

Nido Qubein and I after he spoke in front of 1,200 people at the 2008 Glazer Kennedy Super Conference.

You will be sure to start seeing a lot of changes with my website. Keep a watchful eye out…

Dan Kennedy and I…he is internationally recognized as the 'millionaire-maker,' helping people in almost every category of business turn their ides into fortunes.

I encourage everyone to be creative and witty when it comes to creating new business ideas. And don't say you're too young…I met a ten-year old this weekend with her own website that teaches kids how to do yoga. It's really not that hard. All it takes is a bit of creative thinking and some ingenuity…I challenge you!

Twenty Money-Making Listings in Less than SIX Minutes!

Not many people know how to do this…

And the truth is…it's one of the easiest things in the world!

I have certain parts of my eBay business almost completely automated. Now, mind you, this really only works when you have a product or multiple products that you can sell over and over again. Selling clothes, accessories, etc. can take a little bit longer, but they are still easy.

Currently, I am selling my father's real estate investor coaching product.

I have this business 95% automated (I still have to ship the items, but I am beginning to automate that part of my business as well). I list my father's product every Tuesday. I list the items for five days so that they will end on Sunday (between 5:00 and 8:00 Pacific Time is the best time-period for auction endings). All I have to do is click the re-list button next to my already finished auctions in My eBay Summary. This normally takes me between five to ten minutes.

After that, I sit around for the rest of the week. Okay, I'm just kidding. You should check on your listings at least every other day and also answer any questions that your bidders might have.

When Sunday finally rolls around and my auctions end, I send out invoices and watch the money start pouring in. On average, I make over $300 a week with this business (this is just one of my many businesses).

On Monday, I spend about an hour packing and shipping the items that I sold.

On Tuesday, I start all over again….pretty easy huh?

All you have to do is find a product that sells well that you can get a lot of (like cds, dvds, whatever you can think of–try searching for wholesale lots on eBay and see if there is anything you might want to sell), and start designing a system that works for you!

Now, I am still trying to put together an eBay course for teens, but until I do, check out Sky High Auctions. This is currently the best eBay training program on the internet. Learn countless of tricks, tips, and strategies, along with the basics that everyone needs to know when selling on eBay. What Else Can I Sell?

You can sell almost anything you want on eBay…that's the beauty of it!

If you don't feel like parting with any of your belongings, or your parents won't let you sell any of theirs… find somebody else who will sell your stuff!

This is actually easier than you think. Start asking around…

Your grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, third cousins twice removed…they most likely all have stuff they want to sell. And you could easily sell it for them!

All you have to do is research the product, take pictures, list it, ship it, collect the cash, and split the profits. It's a win-win for everybody. They don't have to do any work in selling the item, and you get a good percentage of the profits (be sure to agree on this percentage ahead of time).

About a year ago, a man in my dad's Bible study came to me and asked if I could sell some his Master's Badges (for those of you who don't know, the Master's is a golf tournament that takes place every year at the Augusta National golf course in Georgia). He and I both knew that Master's badges were very popular as collector's items. The ten badges he gave me to sell, one dating back to 1974, ended up selling for almost $600. We decided ahead a time to split the profits 70-30%. I ended up getting over a hundred dollars out of the deal, which I knew was good for less than a week's worth of work.

I still do some business with my dad's friend from time to time. I have also sold several other friends' items for a percentage over the years.

It is just another great way to become a Teen Making Money With eBay!

Check back soon for more tips and tricks. Also, keep a look-out for free tutorials and other informational eBay product.

The eBay Clothes Rack

The Number One thing that most teens have lying around their room is clothes. They have either outgrown them or they just don't want them anymore. This is the kind of stuff that is perfect for teens to sell on eBay. They understand this kind of product (or at least most of them do)…they've worn it! Besides my dad's business product, I normally sell clothes.

All that you need to be able to sell clothes on eBay is a camera and a killer title and description (o yea…and clothes). Like every other item you'll list on eBay, you have to make your listing stand out and you have to make it appealing.

The best way to take a great picture of your clothing item is on a white background (or if your item is white, on some other general color background). You can lay a white sheet across your living room floor or dining room table. Or, you can use a hanger and some string and hang your item over a white door. Whatever floats your boat! It's also a good idea to play around with your flash. See what looks best. You can take multiple pictures, but the more you take, the higher your eBay fee will be. Take as many as necessary. It is a good idea to take pictures of tags, stains, etc., so that the buyer can see all that your item has to offer.

Once you have your picture, you need a good description. Be Honest! If your item is new and the tags are still there, say that its New With Tag (or NWT in eBay lingo). If your item is new but doesn't have any tags, say that its New Without Tag (NWOT). Other options for your item's condition include barely worn, gently used, or just used. Remember to be honest! It's better to be honest up front than to have negative feedback and a returned item later (plus, you'd be surprised at what people actually buy!).

You also need to describe the color of your clothing item, what its made of, what size it is, what brand it is ( to be absolutely honest, brand name articles sell better), any stains that are present, what style it is…etc. Try to condense and state as much of this in your title as possible. The more information you have on your item, the more confident your possible buyers will be when they consider bidding.

Another great strategy is to tell a story about your item. This makes it more personal. A buyer wants their item to be special, and stories do just that!

Be sure to set a reasonable price for you item. You can't sell a used item for more than you bought it…unless you are really, really lucky! I suggest that you start the bidding low (unless you want a certain amount for your item) and see where it goes. You can always get more for new items than used, just like you will probably get more for brand name items than you will for non-brand name ones. Do what your heart tells you!

You don't have to stop when you run out of clothes in your closet…go raid your parent's closet…or even your brother's (this is what I do!). However, it's probably a good idea to get their permission before you list anything of theirs–in fact, you should probably ask your parents before you list ANYTHING for sell. If your family is planning on getting rid of some old or out-grown clothes, make a bargain with them and tell them that if they let you sell their clothes, you will take them to the movies with some of the money you make–parents dig this stuff!

Well, that's all I got for now. Keep checking back for more tips and tid-bits on how you can become a Teen Making Money With Ebay!
